Governance

The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the strategic direction and for the finacial performance of the association.

The Central Interior Logging Association is a non-profit association established in 1966 to represent independent contractors and suppliers in Central and Northern B.C. The association is governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of members representing logging, log-hauling, road building and maintenance, and silviculture contractors and suppliers.

The board of directors is elected by members of the association. The board is responsible for setting the organization's strategic direction and for the financial performance of the association. The board maintains a sharp focus on advancing and defending the interests of CILA members to encourage a progressive business climate for members. Elections for board and executive positions are held at the Annual General Meeting. There are a number of board committees that review various association programs and initiatives - Business and Environment, Forest Legislation, Membership, Safety, and Transportation.

CILA members have input into the governance of the association through a variety of measures including elections, participating on committees, and providing direct input to the board of directors and/or executive director.
