FIRST Logger Training!
If you are interested in becoming a log hauler or heavy equipment operator in forestry, you’ve come to the right place!
What is this? FIRST Logger is a training program that provides eligible applicants funding for their training AND provides the opportunity for job placement/mentorship. Funding is being offered on forest harvesting equipment like processors, excavators, skidders, etc. as well as log hauling.
How does this work? This program is funded through the federal and provincial government. We have limited seating but anyone in BC is welcome to apply. There are some requirements that each person must fit into but the best way to apply is to send us a detailed resume.
Where is this being offered? Training is now being offered in the Bulkley Valley (Smithers to Burns Lake).
Who are we looking for? We are looking for individuals that have a proven work ethic, mechanical/spatial ability and willing to take a drug test.
